Parent/carers and families
Since 2007 we have provided ‘family inclusive’, specialist services for children and young people affected by negative experiences or trauma.
We support the child and their family to reclaim their lives and empower them to make positive choices - now and in the future.
While we always keep the child in the centre, we believe that the best outcomes are achieved when the adults around the child are included in the support.
The focus is on helping families to reconnect and build positive relationships whereby every individual is able to express their needs and feelings in a healthy way.
How do Kids Inspire help?
Our interventions and services are outcomes focused and help parents and families to:
Build resilience
Increase parental capacity to cope with challenges
Develop greater self-awareness
Gain empowerment to make more positive life choices.
‘One size does not fit all’
We tailor what we do to best meet the needs of our service users’ and their family, from early support to complex issues. This could be one or a mix of therapy, mentoring and coaching.
Kids Inspire projects
Our projects may change from year to year as we respond to different needs filling the gap in children/young people mental health provision. Our projects are funded by schools, local authorities, trust foundations, national commissioners, health and social care commissioners, corporate funders and events fundraisers. We also offer private self-funded treatment plans.
