Trauma Informed Practice Training

We have training sessions for both parents/carers and professionals supporting children and young people. This is specified in each description.

Please note that we have now introduced a £10 admin fee for our training sessions.

Available courses include:

Trauma through the lens of neurodiversity

Aimed at anyone who supports or works with children with neurodiversity. eg: parent/carer/teacher/therapist/ community, social or health workers.

Attendees will participate in group activities, have space to reflect, and to create their own toolbox. The content of the course will take a strengths-based approach that includes the tools of stabilisation and regulation.

There will be an opportunity to talk confidentially about experiences with neurodiverse, non-/pre-verbal children through the lens of trauma-informed practice.

Supporting children and young people to manage anxiety, stress and overwhelm

Aimed at anyone who lives, works or knows a young person eg: parent/carer/teacher/therapist/ community, social or health workers.

This will be an interactive session exploring trauma recovery interventions and the arts. Reduce trauma symptoms in young people to improve their capacity for learning, joy, resilience, self-regulation, and social relationships.

Learn how to recognise behaviours triggered by traumatic experiences, understand how our brains keep us safe, how we respond to trauma and learn some tools for stabilisation.
